Use this free English-to-Dothraki tool for a quick word-and-phrase lookup. Type English into the box and the supported vocabulary updates automatically below it, ready to copy. Turn on Decode to English when you want to look up supported Dothraki output in the other direction.

Important: This is an unofficial fan-made lookup, not a fluent or complete language translator. It does not understand sentence meaning or apply Dothraki grammar, pronunciation, noun cases or verb forms.

How to Translate English to Dothraki

  1. Type or paste English text into the input box.
  2. Read the Dothraki result that appears automatically; there is no separate Translate button.
  3. Select Copy to place the exact displayed result on your clipboard.
  4. Paste it into a campaign note, caption, message, profile or other text field.

What This Dothraki Translator Does

The tool compares your input with a limited built-in fan dictionary. Recognized English entries are replaced with their stored Dothraki forms. The same input produces the same output because this is a fixed browser-based lookup rather than a generative model.

A useful result can contain both translated and untranslated words. That is expected: an unchanged word means the current dictionary has no matching entry, not that the English word is valid Dothraki.

Phrase Matching, Unknown Words and Punctuation

Known multi-word phrases are matched before individual words. For example, a supported phrase can produce one stored expression instead of translating each word separately. After phrase matching, the tool checks the remaining words one by one.

Unknown words, numbers, emoji and punctuation stay unchanged. Capitalized and all-uppercase input broadly keeps the same casing in the result. In an unknown hyphenated term, a supported part may still be translated while the unsupported part remains visible.

How Decode to English Works

To decode, turn on Decode to English and paste supported Dothraki text into the input box. The tool reverse-looks up words and phrases from the same limited table. It does not detect or correct Dothraki grammar.

Decode is not guaranteed to recreate the exact original English. Some English words share one Dothraki value, so the reverse lookup returns the first stored English match. Treat it as a vocabulary aid, not proof that a sentence is grammatically correct.

Frequently asked questions

Is the Dothraki Translator free?

Yes. The Dothraki Translator is currently free to use in a modern browser and does not require account sign-up.

Why do some words stay in English?

The tool uses a limited built-in fan dictionary. If it has no matching word or phrase, that part of your input stays unchanged instead of being invented.

Is this a complete Dothraki translation tool?

No. It performs deterministic word-and-phrase lookup without understanding sentence meaning or applying Dothraki grammar, pronunciation or inflection.

Can I use the Dothraki Translator on mobile?

Yes. The interface is designed for current mobile and desktop browsers. Type into the input box and select Copy beside the result.

How does Decode to English work?

Turn on Decode to English and paste supported Dothraki output into the input box. Because multiple English words can share one Dothraki value, the result may use the first stored English match rather than the exact original wording.
