The Wingdings Translator applies a fixed A-Z symbol mapping to the text you enter. The output updates automatically while you type, and the same input produces the same result each time. This is deterministic character substitution, not AI and not language translation.
Latin letters are matched without regard to case, so uppercase and lowercase input use the same symbol row. Spaces, digits, punctuation, emoji and other unsupported characters pass through unchanged. The result is a compatibility-oriented Unicode approximation inspired by the Wingdings uppercase row; it is not an installed Wingdings font file.
How to Use the Wingdings Translator

How Wingdings Mapping and Reverse Mode Work
The converter uses the following 26 reviewed pairs. It is informed by the Unicode/WG2 normative source mapping for Wingdings characters, but it is not an exact implementation of that final mapping.

Four current outputs are common compatibility substitutes rather than the final source correspondences: B uses 👌 instead of U+1F58F, H uses ☟ instead of U+1F597, N uses ☠ instead of U+1F571, and S uses 💧 instead of U+1F322. The other 22 pairs follow the reviewed uppercase mapping. This disclosure describes the engine as it exists; the shared mapping is not changed by this editorial correction.
Reverse mapping recognizes only these supported output symbols and returns uppercase letters. It cannot restore the original capitalization, translate words, identify arbitrary symbols or decode text produced by a different mapping. Unsupported characters remain unchanged.
Compatibility, Fandom Context and Related Tools
Appearance and acceptance depend on the destination app, browser, operating system, device, available fonts and field rules. Some symbols can appear as missing-glyph boxes, monochrome signs or emoji-style artwork. A game or social service may reject characters that a normal message field accepts, so preview the final pasted result before saving it.
Fans sometimes associate Wingdings-style text with W.D. Gaster from Undertale. That is fandom context, not a claim that this converter reproduces an official spoken language. This unofficial tool is not affiliated with Undertale or its creator.
